In The Beginning…

In the summer of 1989, after hearing the call of God and receiving direct confirmation through his Pastors, Pastor Daniel Cruz began his present pastorate, launching Faithworld Family Church.

On the cold Saturday night of January 12, 1991 around 7:30 pm, we opened the doors for our first church service. In a borrowed sanctuary with a visiting crowd of 20 people, most of which were already Christians, the first sermon was preached, entitled, "The Armor of God". At that very first altar call, 2 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ. Our church was officially birthed.

In 2003 Faithworld Christian Center, our daughter church, launched in East Chicago, Indiana. Faithworld Chicago trained and sent out Pastors Calvin and Wanda Suttles along with a church planting team. Faithworld Christian Center began to grow quickly and impact the lives of many people.

In 2010 we launched two satellite churches; Faithworld Plainfield and Faithworld Berwyn, now Faithworld Cicero.

In 2011 we launched another daughter church; City Lights.

Our main goal has been to extend the church in communities that do not have a thriving place of worship teaching the full gospel of Christ. Each of these churches have been designed to make an impact to all who are in need of savior and a place of worship.

Since our initial launch, Faithworld Family Church has been growing rapidly year by year. We have seen the vision of Faithworld come to life and have launched several key ministries as well as dynamic churches throughout the region that are impacting communities and are the catalyst for change and restoration.
